Tour Overview

Join us on our annual foray north of the border and sample the finest Scottish hospitality, incredible riding and unspoilt dramatic scenery.

Once on the road, we’ll look to get some quick miles under our belts, another new route for this year as we head northwest on a combination of contrasting roads toward the Borders of Scotland and South Lanarkshire.  Tonight we will enjoy that familiar Scottish hospitality with dinner and a few drams…maybe.

Day two and we are off for our first full day as we skirt Glasgow as quickly as we can, then it’s onto the vast expanse of mountains, water and countryside that is Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.  Plenty of stops for photos, tea and coffee as we and west toward Loch Linnhe. Lots of options with Loch Katrine, the famous Green Welly, Bridge of Orchy and the sky scraping Glencoe… It’s a must see and do! we’ll be returning to the Trossachs later and the tranquil waters of Loch Long.

Day three and it’s destination Cairngorms.  A number of distilleries and Balmoral Castle are on our route today. Sweeping A roads and twisty B roads are all on offer on this incredible ride of twist and turn on some of the best roads in the UK, including The Tomintoul road and the Spitall of Glenshee. Our final destination the Cairngorms National Park.

For our penultimate day riding in Scotland, we are heading south through the Cairngorms National Park, past Gleneagles, Stirling and Glasgow . Our final stretch is swift swooping A roads as we continue south toward the Scottish Borders.  Tonight our hotel is in Lockerbie and is host to our farewell dinner, where new friendships and old acquaintances can be celebrated for the last time.

On Sunday it’s homeward bound, but the trip is not over yet. We are heading back toward England and onto some of the best roads the north has to offer. The choice is yours, you can wander with us or blast home as the mood takes you.

A fantastic way to visit your own country - wonderful scenery, varying weather patterns, but outstanding views and, as always, great comments.
