HIGH SIERRAS AND HIGH CITIES: SPAIN

Day 1 Your journey begins with a late afternoon ferry departure from Plymouth, offering a relaxing start to your motorcycle tour. After a comfortable overnight crossing, you’ll arrive in Santander by early afternoon, perfectly timed to hit the road and begin your Spanish adventure

Day 2 You have a short ride south to Burgos, the city which was founded in 884AD and was home to El Cid, whose tomb lies in the UNESCO listed Gothic cathedral. You'll be there before the first of the Spanish bars and restaurants open

Day 3 Today’s ride takes us south toward Madrid, riding high through the stunning Northern Sierras. Expect warm weather and a thrilling cross-country route packed with sweeping curves, elevation changes, and breathtaking views, a true motorcyclist’s dream as we make our way to the historic city of Segovia

Day 4 Romanesque churches, a former royal palace and a Gothic cathedral, plus the ancient Roman aqueduct of more than 160 arches stands above Plaza Azoguejo in the heart of the city. Take the day to stroll around or head out on our optional ride out.

Day 5 Two options today: Choose a shorter ride and enjoy more time exploring the historic city of Salamanca. Prefer more time in the saddle? Head into the breathtaking Sierra de Gredos for a thrilling ride through twisty mountain roads, dramatic scenery, and hidden villages. It’s a playground for motorcyclists and a highlight for those who love the road less travelled

Day 6 Take a break from the saddle and immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of Salamanca, one of Spain’s most captivating cities. With two nights here, you’ll have ample time to explore its architectural wonders and lively atmosphere. Stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town, where centuries of history unfold in every stone. Admire the iconic Plaza Mayor, often hailed as one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, and enjoy a coffee or tapas in one of its charming cafés.

Day 7 Today’s route takes us north from one elevated gem to another, as we leave Salamanca behind and head toward the majestic city of León. The ride winds through the scenic Sierra mountain ranges, past golden fields of sunflowers, and into the heart of northern Spain. León, our final two-night stop, awaits with its rich medieval history, stunning Gothic architecture, and vibrant local culture

Day 8 Your final break from the bike and an opportunity to discover the timeless beauty of León. Marvel at the stunning León Cathedral, famous for its Gothic architecture and dazzling stained glass, then step into the past at the Basilica of San Isidoro, home to medieval frescoes and the Royal Pantheon. Wander through ancient streets, browse artisan shops, and indulge in León’s vibrant tapas scene. This final stop isn’t just a destination, it’s a celebration of everything that makes motorcycle touring in Spain unforgettable

Day 9 There’s one last stretch of unforgettable riding through the spectacular Picos de Europa Mountains as you head to your ferry home. This region offers some of the most dramatic and rewarding motorcycle roads in northern Spain, think sweeping bends, rugged peaks, and panoramic views at every turn. As you make your way toward the ferry, enjoy every mile of this final adventure through one of Spain’s most iconic natural landscapes. It’s the perfect way to round off an incredible tour

Day 10 Your ferry is scheduled to arrive back in Plymouth during the afternoon, marking the end of an unforgettable motorcycle tour through Spain. From mountain passes to historic cities, you’ve experienced the very best of Iberian riding, now it’s time to head home with incredible memories and stories to share
