BMW’s annual celebration of all-things Motorrad has grown into a huge festival, with up to 40,000 guests. Stunt shows, Beer Tents, Bikes, Clubs, Accessory Suppliers, Ride Outs and a great party – Motorrad Days has it all.
For 2025 BMW Tours are offering a unique experience you can’t get anywhere else. This tour is a proven favourite and every year we come up with new routes and new venues, but every year it proves to be hugely popular with many riders returning again and again! There are two options again this year depending on whether you want to cross the channel from the North (Hull/Rotterdam) or from the South (Folkestone Eurotunnel).
Whichever crossing you opt for all routes eventually converge on the western edge of the Black Forest and the city of Freiburg, via the Ardennes or the Champagne region of Northern France. Our four star hotel is a short walk to the attractions of the historic old town and its many restaurants.
Our route continues the next day through the southern reaches of the Black Forest and into Bavaria. We have included some unrestricted Autobahn stretches to get the miles done on this longer day and ensure you arrive fresh in the heart of Bavaria. Garmisch Partenkirchen the home to the winter Olympics a small Fresco painted old town, will come alive once more, for the a new Motorrad Days Party Weekend.
From Freiburg we are heading along the German Swiss border into the heart of Bavaria and Garmisch Partenkirchen, once the home to the winter Olympics this small town in Bavaria comes alive for the Annual Motorrad Days Party.
At the Motorrad Days festival we will be based in another 4-star hotel, a short walk from the festival site offering the freedom to enjoy the party atmosphere. Alternatively you can join us on a range of ride outs to stunning Alpine passes, including the legendary Stelvio Pass, to Munich to visit the BMW Museum and many others.
Saturday night is party night and you will be a VIP guest for dinner and a few steins of cold German lager to the sound of a traditional Oompah band. The party is legendary and goes on to the small hours. Stick to the main tent, relax around a campfire, go old school rock and roll at the Motodrome or party late into Sunday in the US Lodge. Free shuttle busses run until late to get you back to the hotel. Sunday is a day of rest (and recovery) before we head off on Monday.
The journey from Garmisch is still an exciting ride, interspersed with short Autobahn blasts and we will be in Ludwigsburg in no time. Close to the centre of town with its Baroque Palace our 4-star hotel here is a great base for the night. Our final full days ride back takes us into the heart of the France or the Ardennes. Always a popular last night destination our hotels are right in the centre of town close to the bars and cafes that line the main street. Then all that is left is the return ride to your chosen port – Calais or Rotterdam for your crossing to home.
We are offering an optional Alpine extension this year… Instead of heading home after the festival, take a ride with us via Italy and Switzerland enjoying a multitude of mountain passes and picturesque views. See the ‘Extended Itinerary’ tab below for more information and select ‘extended tour’ upon booking. (Coming Soon)
Please Note: Unlike all our other tours this tour is NOT restricted to 12 bikes. We have reserved space for 100 riders to join the party this year! However the planned Alpine Extension does have limited places, so if you want to take this option then please let us know!
