BMW Tours are offering a unique experience you can’t get anywhere else. This tour is a proven favourite and every year we come up with new routes and new venues, but every year it proves to be hugely popular with many riders returning again and again! There are two options again this year depending on whether you want to cross the channel from the North (Hull/Rotterdam) or from the South (Folkestone Eurotunnel).
Whichever crossing you opt for all routes eventually converge on the edge of Scheldt river before heading into the heart of Wallonia. Our hotel is a short walk to the many bars and restaurants of the old town.
From here we head out through the Ardennes forests and south through France to Strasbourg. Our five star hotel is located on the Grand Isle, an island that lies at the historic centre of Strasbourg. The Grand Isle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and not to be missed, home to the Place Kleber and the worlds fourth tallest church, the Strasbourg Cathedral as well as an array of cafes and restaurants.
Our route continues the next day through the southern reaches of the Black Forest and into Bavaria. We have included some unrestricted Autobahn stretches to get the miles done on this longer day and ensure you arrive fresh in the heart of Bavaria. Garmisch Partenkirchen the home to the winter Olympics a small Fresco painted old town, will come alive once more, for the Motorrad Days Party Weekend.
At the Motorrad Days festival we will be based in another 4-star hotel, a short walk from the festival site offering the freedom to enjoy the party atmosphere, or join us on one of our exclusive World of BMW Ride Outs.
Saturday night is party night and you will be a VIP guest for dinner and a few steins of cold German lager to the sound of a top class band. The party is legendary and goes on to the small hours. Stick to the main tent, relax around a campfire, go old school rock and roll at the Motodrome or party late into Sunday in the US Lodge. Free shuttle busses run until late to get you back to the hotel. Sunday is a day of rest (and recovery) before we head off on Monday.
The ride from Garmisch is along the banks of Lake Constance. Add in a short Autobahn blast and we will be in Freiberg in no time. Close to the centre of town with its Gothic style Minster Cathedral and a bustling old town our 4-star hotel here is a great base for the night. Our final full days ride back takes us back into Belgium to Bouillon, our hotel lies on the banks of the Semois a short walk from the town’s cafes and restaurants. Then all that is left is the return ride to your chosen port – Calais or Rotterdam for your crossing to home.
New for 2025! We are offering an optional Alpine Extension this year… Add four days riding and come with us over the Stelvio Pass for a night close to St Moritz, before heading west over the Splugen, San Bernadino, Simplon and Grimsell Passes to Meiringen. We are here for two nights with the chance to explore the scene of Sherlock Holmes demise or come out and ride the famous Five Passes Route – Susten, Furka, Grimsell, Nufenen and St Gotthard Passes all in one glorious 150 mile day of endless twist and turns. The following day we head north to pick up the same route home that the other riders on tour have already enjoyed.
Please Note: Unlike all our other tours this tour is NOT restricted to 12 bikes. We have reserved space for 100 riders to join the party this year! However the planned Alpine Extension does have limited places, so if you want to take this option then please let us know!
